WRL TechCeiver-6 The 6-meter TC-6A’s superhet receiver tunes 49 – 54 MHz and its 5 watt, plate-modulated transmitter uses 8 MHz crystals. The AM transceiver features PTT control, an internal speaker, AVC on receive and a noise limiter. The earlier TC-6 model had a one-watt transmitter. The unit pictured is in the original TC-6 cabinet, but is marked TC-6A on the receiver tuning scale. The transceivers were part of WRL’s Comet Kit series. The TC-6 (1961) and TC-6A (1963) each sold for $39.95 and required an external power supply.
