RME-84 The
familiar RME dial, an unsymmetrical layout, and built-in speaker
distinguish the 84's front panel. The single-conversion, 455 kHz I.F.,
8-tube set covers .54 - 44 MHz in four bands, but lacks a crystal filter.
It has a built in power supply, though it may be operated from batteries
through a socket on the rear of the chassis. A low-current drain, loctal
tube line-up helps maximize A-battery life; 1946, $98.70. |
