GLOBE CHAMPION 300-A

The A model of the Globe Champ 300 retained the previous version's Amperex AX-9909 finals, but increased power output to 350 Watts CW and 275 AM. Timed-sequence keying improved performance on CW and more attention was paid to TVI suppression in the transmitter's design. Like its predecessor, the 300-A could be used on sideband with an external exciter. Ten watts  would drive it to 400 watts PEP input. 160 through 10 meters; $495.00, 1958.
