National HRO-50T National continued the evolution of its long-running HRO line by adding a directly calibrated slide rule dial for each band, in addition to the traditional PW dial. It is interesting to note the PW once again has the shiny skirt, abandoned after the earliest HROs as being "difficult to read." The T suffix on this model indicates it is a table model, housed in a cabinet. The 15-tube set covered .05 - 30 MHz with the usual HRO plug-in coils; $349, 1950. |
